EILEEN OLSON
"As a Brooklyn native, I grew up playing in the streets of East Flatbush. We chalked the pavements and painted storefronts during the holidays. Inspired by my fifth grade teacher from PS 198, I gained confidence to pursue my love to draw. My art training began at The Brooklyn Museum of Art School and continued at the Corcoran School of Art and Design, in DC. After having a career as an R.N. for over 30 years, I finally devoted myself to my second career, as a visual painter.
I began selling my abstracts to an in international audience from Spectrum Gallery in Wash, DC. This reinforced my decision to paint abstractly, veering away from my earlier traditional styles. I now reside, and have my studio, in Bethany Beach, Delaware and judge for art shows and teach artist workshops.
I am a member of Rehoboth Art League and Art League of Ocean City. My work can be seen in galleries and juried art shows in the Virginia, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York areas."
